Notational Velocity for Windows?

December 5, 2011: The links do not work any longer and the application seems to have disappeared:

Notes [was] billed as a windows version of Notational Velocity.

It uses the json format for its a database; saves text automatically; needs no dll; has search (but not incremental search).

Integration with Simplenote is planned!

But why the big buttons? They are not really contributing to simplicity.

With the ability to put your Notational Velocity text files on Dropbox, is there an application that will use the same set? I don't need another set of notes. Just one set will do fine.

I think this application is of interest only to Windows Users.

I agree that for a Mac user another application is pretty much useless. If I understand correctly, Notational Velocity can open text files. So any text editor should be able to open the same set in Dropbox.

I'm using the Simplenote extension for Chrome to close the Mac->iPhone->Windows NV loop.

Since posting the last time, I was remiss in my duties of actually posting when I found the answer I was looking for.

The fine folks behind SimpleNote have developed a list of applications using the SimpleNote API. All of these downloads (for the various platforms) will now sync. http://simplenoteapp.com/downloads/

Since the beta of Notes 2 was not out at the time, I settled on ResophNotes and have been very happy with it. http://www.resoph.com/
